'30 before 30'

I came across the idea of making a '30 before 30' from Angela at Paper Lovestory. She composed this wonderful list of things she wanted to accomplish before she was 30.

It's amazing. I had never thought about what I wanted to accomplish before the age of 30 until I start making this list and I noticed that I had such high goals. Well, not high goals but goals that could be considered goals you should accomplish before you are 40.

While these goals are way out there, I have 10 years to complete them. Well about 9 years and 1 month. I'm currently 20 going on 21 in February. So hopefully 9 years from now, these goals will be completed :)

So..about the goals?

Eliminate all my debt - Attending a tier one college in Houston means that you have to pay four times the money you used to. I get scholarships and grants but I usually have to get small loans since my dad only pays a percentage after the loans.

Meet Jeremy Renner - My celebrity crush since before he was an actor! It's a silly goal, yes I know :)

Watch the IMDB Top 250 Movies of All Time -  I have been wanting to do this for so long since I am a movie fanatic so all I did was place this list in my Filofax "Goals" tab and every time I watch a movie I just place a small sticker next to the time. Most of these movies are on Netflix or at least 75 of them are so I'm going to be working on this goal soon :)

Have you created a '30 before 30' list? If not, it might be time to make one :)

My Filofax Week #3

For the past week, I've been posting my week schedules late. I posted last week's on Tuesdays and this week on Wednesdays. I swear next week I will begin posting on Sundays! :) It's on my To-Do list.

Here's my personal week. I've been buying a lot of stuff online so I've just been writing down all my orders.
College Filofax next! Lots of school assignments are missing this week -.-' I've been planning to plan a week ahead and make sure all assignments are in my Filofax that way I'm prepared.  I'm also planning to purchase a pocket chameleon and use it as my wallet. I'm thinking about using my personal as my wallet but it feels too big. I'll post it when it comes in the mall.

Cute Stationery for Your Filofax!

Hey guys!

As everyone knows, there are several add-on for your Filofax. Stickers, Inserts, Post-Its, you name it, they've made it.

I recently found all sorts of cute stationery at Target. Here in the United States, it's the biggest super center I've found cute note pads like these below. I think it might be part of their "Reorganize your life" promotion but they have very nice stationery that can fit right in your Filofax.

Also, sorry about the photo quality. My Nikon hasn't arrived yet and the flash on my camera is a little bright.

The first set are both task pads. The pad on the right-hand side fits perfectly in an a5 Filofax. It had several places for you to write your To Do, To Buy, To Call, To Remember.. I both this so I could write anything urgent I had to do for the day or week.
The pad on the left-hand side fits in a personal Filofax but maybe about 3 Cm's come out from the top. It has checklists for everyday of the week and even a spot for "Week Of". These are not the only note pads they had. They had to-do list that were magnetic and graph paper and even pencils/pens that matched the designs of the notepads.
This next set is just additional items in the line. Also, all of the products are $1.00 so it's a deal when it comes to stationery! :) On the left-hand side its just a small notepad that says For Sure, Maybe, No Way which I thought it could be used for things to do or just small notes. On the right-hand side, are small page flags that say To Buy, To Do, To Call which they are small and fit in any side Filofax.

I hope you guys find these! Let me know what other designs you find :)
Until next time.

My Filofax Week #2

I'm a little late on my postings for my current Filofax week. I started school yesterday and I've running around the campus getting paperwork filled out, purchasing textbooks, and just dealing with some of the clubs I joined.

Here is my current week. It's a little vague because usually my schedule fills up on Wednesday for the weekend. I've been using my college Filofax a lot since school started and I have several homework assignments due already.

If you saw my last weekly posting, you saw how plain my weekly schedule was for last week. This is my weekly schedule from last week after everything was done. I had several things that had to be done, that I kept forgetting to add them to my Filofax >.<
Here is my college Filofax week #2. Several homework assignments for the first week, LOL. My college filofax won't usually have anything in the weekend section unless my school has events or the clubs I joined have any meetings. I'm taking 5 classes this semester and I am barely getting use to writing everything in my filofax (which I love!)

After a while, I am going to get used to making my Filofaxes all colorful, because I definitely don't like the plain pages. I plan on purchasing a couple more Filofaxes because I love the designs and if you are selling a Filofax Baroque - please CONTACT me. I am looking for one in any size because I love the design.

Until next week guys!

My college filofax!

I recently purchased an a5 sketch Filofax online, and so far it's my favorite. I've decided to turn it into my college Filofax since I want to keep my personal life and college life separate. The a5 is way bigger than I thought it was going to be. I thought it would be slightly bigger than the personal size, but to me it feels like two personal sizes in an a5 size.
It arrived in a very nice box actually. I thought it was going to come in a black box like I've seen online, but this box had an opening on the size so the Filofax could slide right out.
Here is an image of what both of my filo faxes look like closer together. As you can tell the a5 is much bigger than the personal but I feel like the a5 can hold more than for the size. I'm a little afraid that it might get too huge like other people have said, but for right now since it's the beginning of the year it's still quite small.
Here is much closer look at my dashboard. It has three large pockets and three smaller pockets which are perfect for putting post its or little notes. I always like to put pictures in the opening envelope. I tried to add some inspiration images and quotes that pertained to my education.
I made custom tabs for this filofax as well. They are diary, notes, homework ( a place where I am going to write any projects that I have coming up) and college (which has my schedule, course calenders, academic calender, and college bus schedules).
These are the inserts for the week of Jan 7 - Jan 13. It's really vague because I don't start school until January 14. On sunday, I only have things that I need to do the day before school starts. Next week is already getting full and I know when I start school it is just going to be filled with homework assignments all the time since I am taking five classes.

I hope you enjoyed the post. Until next time :)

Filofax Swag (plus some notes)

This blog is definitely turning into a Filofax/stationery blog. I never noticed how much I actually use my Filofax and how much stationery I have! I also got a new digital camera that should be getting here soon, so look for more updated and better looking pictures! :)

So yesterday, I went to Staples and Michaels and I scored quite a bit of clearance items.
I purchased craft tape, ribbon that had a rainbow design, some Martha Stewart labels, small card stock paper with designs, some hello kitty flags, post it notes, and this notepad that went to supporting breast cancer. The best purchase was the apple post it dispenser that rang up for $2!! They usually go for $10 or more so I thought that was great.

I'm always looking for stuff to add to my Filofax because I like to make my weekly planner look pretty and nice. I don't like for it to be bland. I recently got an a5 sketch that I am going to fix up and make it into my college Filofax because I am taking 5 classes this year and I know that my college agenda is just going to be filled up all the time.

I am also planning on purchasing a Domino in size personal for my mother. She is always losing things she remembers she had so I think a Filofax is just what she needs! Look for those post coming up! :)

Filofax "Weekly" Post

I've gotten three posts done tonight and that is it for this week, but I wanted to post one more.

On Sunday, Paper Lovestory wrote about how she wanted people to start putting images up of their weekly post so I am jumping on the bandwagon.

My Filofax Week #1 is actually below this post if you want to see it. I'm going to be doing it every week so hopefully you will see the change. My filofax week is going to go from bland to bright and colorful!

Until next week!

My filofax..

The first goal to become organized is to get an agenda or organizer. An organizer can help with all the things you need to do or help you plan a family vacation. It can be used for anything!

The agenda I use is a Filofax. I paid $40 for a Pink Personal Metropol (shown below) and $24 for a Red A5 Sketch. I use my Personal for all of my daily things, and I use my A5 for all of my school things. My personal holds my goals and diet plans while my A5 holds every single thing I need for college. I'll show my A5 in another post, but for now here is my personal.

Please note - The current camera I am using is from my phone, so if the images looks bad I am terribly sorry. I'm trying to get my hands on a digital camera because my Nikon d50 is undergoing repair. The flash is terrible as well :(

This is the front view of my metropol. The type of pen I use is the Papermate InkJoy 300 RT. It is very smooth when it comes to writing and it's one of the pens I have to have. I also use a highlighter to highlight all of the things that I have done for the week.

This is the dashboard of my filofax. (Yes, ignore the picture! LOL)
Some of the things I have in the front pockets are sticky notes, and small labels that I use to mark the important things. I want to add a couple more things in the slots because I don't like them to be empty. I feel like the space can be used for something.
This is the insert page to my calender Diary. I use a monthly and a weekly calender just because it's better to see things overall with the weekly calender. The tabs I currently have are Diary, Notes, Expenses, and To-Do. I'm also going add a Health tab and a Goals tab.

This is my weekly schedule for January 7 - January 13. Since this is my first filofax, this week is not as colorful as I want it to be. It's a little simple but I feel like I am using it for everything! I've had this filofax since the beginning of the year and I take it everywhere. I will be at the store and I have to write something into my filofax. It's the perfect tool that someone needs to get organize. It's also a great thing to do if you are forgetful (like me) and you can just jot down things you need to do for the day.

So Why a filofax?
My Filofax is the BEST planner I have ever used. It has ring clips so you can move anything you need to move around. You can customize to hold anything you need. You can add or remove dividers that you want/don't need. You can color code items if you want or you can just keep it simple :)

Hopefully you enjoyed the short tour of my filofax! Until next time.

To blog or not to blog?

I've been wanting to start a blog for some time now.
It took me about two years and six days before I figured out what I wanted to blog about, and at pricesly 1:02 AM (the time of this post), the idea popped up into my head.

Most people would love to have me come into their room and just fix everything that they have thrown into their floor. Why? It's because I'm so organized.

I'm not a perfectionist, nor do I feel like I am organized but the truth is.. I am more organized than any 20 year old.

So..
To begin this blog, I will tell you a little bit about myself.

My name is Angelica Dominguez. I am a sophomore in college, and I'm simple. I am majoring in Pastry Arts and minoring in Italian. If at times, you don't understand my writing it's because I over think things. I was a wonderful writer in high school, but now it seems like I'm struggling to come up with most of the words that I am thinking about.

What will this blog be about?
I want to say this blog is going to be organizing yourself, but this blog is for me to express any random thoughts, and anything that comes to my head. I might write a review for a movie I saw or type up an excerpt from a novel I'm writing but it will most definitely be random at times. I have a sense of humor when it comes to some things, but if I offend you please let me know. I live for peace, and this world does not need anymore negativity.

So first post done, more to come!
xoxo Angela
