My Filofax Week #13

Happy Easter everyone!

I didn't post for two weeks since I was on vacation :) I traveled to San Antonio which was super fun!!

Here is my past week..

What happened this week? :)
  • I have 10 packages being delivered in the next upcoming weeks! :o I've been doing a bit of stationery eBay shopping because I won a $250 gift card from PayPal.
  • Easter was this week - and so was the Game of Thrones Season Premire, New episodes of Doctor Who, and the Walking Dead season finale LOL!
  • I also have to re-buy my Osterley because the eBay seller who I bought mine from sent my Osterley to the wrong location so I never got it :( :( :(
  • UPDATE on my Osterley - I recieved the Osterley but the owner sent an empty box :( :( I contacted them in regards on maybe forgetting to put the Filofax in the actual box but the eBay seller deleted their account. I have to wait 5 - 7 days for eBay to refund me the money and I have to talk to eBay fraud :( :(
Hope you guys have a great week!

Filofax Organization #1 - Choosing a Filofax

Hello everyone!

Welcome to the first post of Filofax Organization, a series. Our topic today is Choosing a Filofax! In my opinion, I think many people have trouble find the "perfect" Filofax. You spend time watching videos on Youtube, or looking at pictures online that it strikes you - I want a Filofax. It's the most organizational tool someone can have especially if their life is constantly busy or just because you like writing down everything that happens in a day.

There are a couple step you can take to purchasing a Filofax.

Step #1 -  Visit your local Filofax retailer or Visit Filofax online.

Personally, I think it's nicer if you first visit your Filofax retailer. There is a link here that will take you to the Find a Retailer website. If you visit your retailer, you have many advantages. You can ask the sales associate what they think or what Filofax they recommend. You can also see what type of sizes they have and what type of designs they make.

If you don't have a Filofax retailer near you, you can still visit Filofax online and compare the sizes and the descriptions of the Filofaxes. There are also Youtube videos that many wonderful people make :)

Step #2 - Choosing a size

As you can see, Filofax makes several sizes. You can choose to go with the smallest size or the biggest size but what size you choose will depends on what you want too use your Filofax for, and even where you are going to store it. You wouldn't want to store a A5 size Filofax in a very small handbag.

The most popular size is the Personal. It fits in most purses and most Filofax have just enough pockets for you to enjoy.

Step #3 - Design and Color and Price

Orange, Yellow, Purple, White, Blue - you name it. Filofax makes it. Once you've found a size you enjoy, look for a design you love. It could be simple or unordinary - this is where you can choosing whatever you want to represent you.

Determine what price you want to spend on a Filofax. You don't want to spend $150 dollars on an organizer and find out you don't like it. Before you establish a price you want to pay, look at the options each Filofax has. Some carry two pen loops and some have more pockets than others. Some are zipped with most of them are unzipped. There are definetly many factors in determining what design, color, and price you want to pay.

Here are just some Filofax and their qualities.

The Metropol

  • Non - Leather Binder
  • Has two Pen loops
  • 4 credit card pockets and one large pocket (front)
  • One larger pocket in the back
  • Price Range - around $30 - $50
The Osterley
  • Leather Binder - soft textured
  • 4 card slots - one large pocket (front)
  • 2 card slot - one large pocket (back)
  • Two pen loops
  • Price Range - around $100 - $150

After you've choosing your Filofax - it's time to choose some inserts and start customizing your Filofax!
That will be in another post, though! :) Hopefully, you won't have a hard time choosing a Filofax now and I can't wait to hear what you choose!

If you have any questions that would like to be answered - any questions at all please email me @ liveloveorganize21@gmail.com
I want to post a Q&A at the end of each post - that way it might help other people with similar questions they might have :)

Until next time! Have a great Easter!

Filofax Organization - Introduction

Hello everyone!

Welcome to the first post of Filofax Organization, a series of post.
This Filofax series is aimed towards beginners' but everyone is welcome :) It will consist of helpful post for newbie filofaxers and steps to help them organization their life using a Filofax.

I will start off with My Story..

I've always loved organizational videos, and when looking for a desk tour I found a video on a set-up for a Filofax. I didn't even know that Filofaxes had even existed! The previous planner I had owned was a spiral planner I had purchased from Target. After spending hours on Youtube and writing down a list of things I wanted with my future Filofax, I went over to the Filofax USA website. Filofaxes and I were meant to be because the website was having a 60% off sale!

I ended up choosing a A5 Sketch in Maroon because I thought I would need a big-sized planner. I ordered and the Filofax was going to arrive in 4 days! :)

The next day, I watched a couple more videos, scheduled a visit to Staples, and looked for some accessories for my Filofax. I ended up at Avalon Stationery - my local Filofax retailer and I was in heaven!! I walked out of that store with a Raspberry Metropol in personal, a Month of 2 pages inserts, organizer stickers, and some beautiful MUJI pens.

In the end, I loved the personal size more than the A5 size because I felt that the A5 size was just a bit to big. I have been in a personal size since and I love it!

..

The main goal of these posts are to help other Filofax fans no matter what the situation. I will also ask other bloggers to contribute :)

The first post will be up around next week - so if you have any questions for next week you can post a comment below or email me at liveloveorganize21@gmail.com

Until next week - Have a good weekend everyone!
xoxo Angela.

More additions to my Filofax family :)

Hello everyone!
:)

I hit the jackpot this weekend. I went to a garage sale in Katy, Texas and we ended up at this neighborhood garage sale. They had some antiques, toys, clothes, electronics - wonderful things for wonderful prizes.

Well - I spent all my time at one table because one of the ladies there was selling her ENTIRE scrapbooking collection because she was moving and didn't want to move the entire room, etc.
I ended getting around $500 dollars worth of stuff for $100. That's not the good part yet. She was selling some old Filofaxes, she didn't use anyone. I was like :O!! when I saw them and I had to have them because I got a great deal on them!

First Filofax I got is!!

A Personal Apex Fuchsia - I love the color purple and this one was in great condition. It has all the inserts and it was basically in new condition!

I ended up turning her into my Blog/Youtube binder :)

& the next Filofax is..

a Lavender Metropol! I already own a metropol in Pink but this one is BEAUTIFUL!! It is my favorite color ever. She is now my personal Filofax that I use for everything.

She is already set up and everything!
So..
What was my grand total for BOTH of these Filofaxes?
..
..
10 DOLLARS! :O

She was more than kind with me and at first told me to just take them - and I was like no, it's fine. how much for both, and she said 10 dollars then. I was so happy - I added two new Filofaxes to my collection at a budget price, and I am so glad I got them for cheap because I recently purchased a Filofax Osterley in Plum that costed $105.50

For a college student, that's a little pricey for a Filofax but it's my final Filofax purchase for some time.
Soo.. 5 more days until my plum osterley arrives! :)

One last thing - I now have 7 Filofaxes in my collection.

  • Pocket Hearts
  • Personal Metropol in Lavender
  • Personal Apex
  • Personal Metropol in Pink
  • Personal Chameleon in Black
  • A5 Sketch in Red (which I plan on selling!)
  • A5 Domino in Red
That's quite a bit of Filofaxes - LOL!!

Hope you guys enjoyed the post! Until next time!
xoxo Angela

My Weekly Post #9

Happy Daylights Saving Time Day guys!
Don't forget to forward your clock an hour ahead today.

Another week has gone by - it's seems like nowadays the weeks just fly by. When I was 18, I used to believe that the days would go by so slow because I wasn't doing anything expect going to high school.
Nowadays the days go by so fast that I lose count of what I am doing -.-'

What happened this week?

  • I signed up for the Washi event week - but nothing happened. I guess it's cancelled?
  • I won a Filofax giveaway - woot!
  • I've ordered sooo much stuff off of eBay and Amazon that I have lost track -.-
  • I'm going to San Antonio the week of the 18th, so I'm planning everything ahead of time. Women are usually the ones that plan ahead, while the men just pack the day before we leave - ha! My boyfriend said that is exactly what he is going to do!
  • I've been trying to go to my college and print out copies of the food journal that was posted on Philofaxy and I haven't - plus it's Spring Break so the campus is closed this entire week. I had to come up with a back up plan and create my own food journal. I really want to keep it up :)
That's all for this week guys!
Until next time.

Another Addition to My Filofax Family (:

Hey guys!

I've been in Filofax shopping mode, lately. It's a newbie move, I know :( My first Filofax was a Pink Metropol that I bought from my local retailer - and the only reason I bought this one was because I couldn't wait two days for the A5 Sketch I had bought from the Filofax website. I love my Pink Metropol - it's beautiful and I do use it all the time, but since then, which was around January 5, I have bought 5 Filofaxes, won 1 from a giveaway, and I am bidding on 2. I am also interested in buying this Sunflower Piazza >.<

If I were to purchase them all, I would have 10 Filofaxes!!! That's too many! I do use 4 out of the 5 that I currently own. They are my Personal Planner (Pink Metropol), College Planner (A5 Domino), and my Journal (which is my new Filofax!), and my wallet (Black Chameleon). I still have one Filofax that is coming in - which is a Purple Apex that I want to use for blogging/Youtube, then I have one that I won during a giveaway, so I will posting/making a video when those arrive (:

Anyways! ...

I had a new Filofax come in today... all the way from the UK! I love Europe - favorite place in the world.

Can you guess which one she is? :)

Yup, it's a Pocket Hearts Filofax!! Beautiful, if you ask me.

This is my very first pocket, and I love the size. It's tiny and it fits into my purse like a charm! I'm currently using it as my journal since I can just buy small pocket sheets or index cards to refill it after it's full.

No problems with the rings or anything - The Filofax was really taken care of :) I already have a G2 pen ready for journaling! She all came with a whole bunch of goodies!!

She arrived with a today page marker in clear, a pocket zipper plastic envelope, around 100 lined sheets of paper, a 2013 diary, and some extra hello kitty stickers that are super cute!

The blog has had some changes too - hope you enjoy the new layout!

Until next time.
xoxo Angela.

My Week #8

Hello everyone :)

I'm posting on time. I think (lol)! I didn't post last week because my boyfriend started working at the rodeo and he works from 9:30am to 11:00pm for three weeks >.< But! on the bright side, after the rodeo we are going to take a trip to San Antonio since he will have four days off. Yay! :)

Here is this last week's post..

I've been posting the "My Weekly Post" all wrong since the beginning of the year. I am supposed to be showing last week's schedule not the current week - because the current week hasn't even been filled. Haha! It makes sense to me now :)

Hope you enjoy, and I'm sorry if the works are a little small. If you would like to read the days, just click on the image and it should enlarge.

Until next week!
xoxo Angela
