My Filofax Week #18

Hello everyone!

We are already on Week 18! May starts this week. Doesn't it feel like time is flying by? I feel like I am losing track all the time - maybe it's reorganization time? :)

*For some reason - this was the BEST image I could get out of my Canon EOS T3i. That means it has to go back to the shop :( I did everything I could automatically and manually and it just would not work..

A closer look at the week..

So what happened this week?
- With all the empty spaces this week, you can tell that nothing really went on :(
- I started working again - thankfully. This week was basically training week, but I am just so grateful to be working. I did take a pay cut from being a secretary but it will still pay the bills :)
- This week was also the last week of school meaning Finals week is next week - so much studying to do!

How was your week? :) Mother's day is coming up! Can't wait!

Review - Personal Filofax Saffiano

Hello everyone,

I was graciously given the chance to review the Personal Filofax Saffiano in Bright Purple, one of the newest models from Filofax. According to Filofax.. "It’s all about the color. Sophisticated classic leather-look cover in bright on trend colors. Combined with simple personal organizer construction and clean lines." That is exactly what the Saffiano is :)

The Filofax comes wrapped in this nice plastic - which is removeable but I feel like it's perfect for traveling or for storage. You can also feel the line pattern on the Filofax, similar to the chameleon and the osterley which have unique designs. You can actually see the lines in the image.

In this images, you can see the texture of the Saffiano in more detail.

Here are the front covers - one with flash (left) and one without flash (right). In person, the shade of purple is definetly the image to the right. It is a very vibrant purple compared to other shades of purple in the Filofax line. Although the material is not leather, the interior and exterior of the material is very soft to the touch. To me, it feels comfortable when touching it or taking it everyone not a little rough like the Finchey, for example.

Here in the Saffiano laying flat - with all the inserts. I had to hold down the Filofax because in the beginning it would not lay flat. It wasn't until I added my own personal inserts that the Filofax laid flat with no problems.

In the front cover of the Saffiano, there are 3 credit card slots, and a pocket behind where you can slide in your items. Compared to most Filofaxes, the top of the pocket is left open, and not closed for easier access. The only downside is that it has 3 credit card slots. For someone that might use this as a wallet or to hold stationery items, this might be a problem since the pockets are quite long in depth but small in width.

In the back cover, it does comes with a pocket but the pocket is open via the top and the bottom, which can cause things to slip out. The pocket is also stitched on both the left and right side, not allowing you to slide in any large size paper or items. The Saffiano comes with an one elasticized pen loop which will mostly likely fit larger pens. This is a great attribute since most Filofaxes do not have a elasticized pen loop, and finding pens to fit in the pen loop might be tricky.

Overall, I feel the Saffiano is a win! It's a wonderful organizer and perfect for any Filofax lover. It's one of the best new range Filofaxes and it is now available on the FilofaxUSA website. It is available in the color Bright Purple and Aqua. The Saffiano is also very inexpensive. The pocket size is $39.00, and the personal size is $49.00.

*Thank you to Filofax who provided this Filofax for review.
**My opinions are entirely my own and are not influenced by the products being reviewed.

My Filofax Week #17

Hello everyone!

May is almost here - so fast too! It recently rained tons and flooded almost everything in Houston. It seems like May showers got here a little too quickly :)

Here is Week #17 -

And of course, a close - up!

So what happened this week? :)
  • Got a job - in retail but it still something! No money coming in for about three weeks though. So my wallet throws little puffs of smoke whenever I open it - Lol.
  • Thanks to Rebecca Crisps over at thecrazytasmanian I was about to purchase a Filofax Finchley in Black. I hope you can see it in the photographs. Thank you so much Rebecca!
  • A lot of swaps going on - it's a good thing my boyfriend helped me with that though! :)
  • I recieved my first RAK from a lovely lady named Seiko. She sent me so much stuff that I was just so happy and filled with tears. I didn't get to post a video about it since my camera was down but I will post up some pictures soon! :)
That was it for this week - How was yours?
Take care.

Filofax Essentials Review #1 - Pens.

Welcome everyone!

Here is another series called Filofax Essentials. My main objective will to review essentials that many people use for their Filofax. If you would for me to review a certain product, you can email me @ liveloveorganize21@gmail.com

:)

Today's topic is the essential item - the must have item for your Filofax! What could it be? Pens, of course! There will be other pen reviews but for right I thought I start off with some pens everyone has heard off but might not have seen how they work.

1. The Coleto!

The Pilot Hi-Tec-C Coleto is available in 3, 4, or 5 barrels. The pen in the above photograph is a 5 barrel pen. It is a quite think pen - It will most likely on fit into a elasticized pen loop, but it is worth it!
It is a multi-pen. You can hold both pens and pencils in it and customize it to the way you like it - just like a Filofax!

For this 5 barrel pen, I chose 5 pen colors. They are clear blue, black, apple green, pink, and purple. This pen is great if you love to color code since they don't bleed through and write very smoothly. Here is an example of how they write -

As you can see, it's very smooth and very neat. For my handwriting, it felt really comfortable since I tend to write a lot everywhere.

And here are the specific colors I choose,

The main body componenents for the pens range from $4-8 dollars depending on the size you would like, and most pen refills go for about $2 dollars. You can find this pen and many more at jetpens.com! Or you can click here and automatically be directed toward them :)

2. The FriXion Slim!

The FriXon Ball Slim is a perfect pen for elasticized and non-elasticized pen loops! It fits both perfectly! They are retractable and erasable! Here is an example of how they write! :)

They are very smooth and write very finely. They are the perfect small size and will definitely be comfortable for anyone who writes a lot or a little! :)

Here is how the erasable pen works. As you can see you can see my writing, but that's probably where I press down to much. Other than that, the pen's eraser works smoothly and everything comes off just nicely since other erasable pens usually leave some of the pen mark behind.

You can find both of these pens at JetPens, and if you spend $25 dollars or more - you get free shipping. No code needed!

I hope you guys enjoyed that little review!
Until next time,
xoxo Angela.

Filofax 'Supplies Envelopes' for sale!

Hello everyone!

I'm trying to raise up money for a Filofax someone is offering to sell to me. It is a Finchley in Black and I have been on the search for one in a long time!! It's my second dream Filofax.

I recently lost my job so to try so to raise the money I am selling 'stationery envelopes' - I was thinking about $15 dollars per envelope plus $3 dollars shipping and the envelopes would have anything from pens to notepads to stickers to post-its notes to little gifts! The envelopes are about the size of an   taller Personal Filofax.. they are actually a little bigger than that :) This is for US only since I can't afford to send international :(

It would really mean a lot to me if I could get this Finchley - I have been having such bad news week after week that I would love to just have the Filofax that I have been searching for..

I am also trying to sell a Filofax that I don't use. It is an A5 Sketch in Red ($35 dollars shipped).. It has a small pen mark on the binding that I am sure can be removed but I have not had the time to remove it.

Thank you for taking the time to read this :)

My Filofax Week #16

Hello everyone!
Another week has gone and passed by. May is almost here - meaning May showers are approaching!

Here is week #16 :)

And a close-up!

What happened this week?

  • MORE BAD LUCK!! :( --- I lost my job on Monday. I was a secretary for a company in the Downtown area of Houston and they laid off more than half of the receptionist/secretaries since they are selling the building and moving to a different location.
  • Several people have been losing their jobs lately, the economy is getting worse and people don't understand. The day after I lost my job - I send half the day looking for jobs, either no one was hiring or they were looking for temporary positions. I haven't finished my bachelor's degree since this is my third year of college so I ended up applying for several retail jobs.
  • I ended having an interview on Friday though - I got the job but I have to wait two - three weeks before I have any money coming in for bills and it's almost the first of the month meaning the rent is almost due!! >.< I'm hoping everything goes smoothly. My boyfriend has been helping me out with some things so I'm hoping after I start working that everything will go back to the way it was.
I really hope everyone is having a blessed week! Be careful out there - I'm in Texas and I heard about the Waco explosion so everyone needs to be safe. I've very sorry about the people in Boston as well - I saw the photos and it was just awful. Keep their families in your prayer, everyone. Please. Take care.
xoxo Angela.
